Hello, I am a PEP renewal who accidentally filled out our renewal application wrong due to us attending a PEP approved hybrid school (it got input as Private school instead of homeschool). We have been awarded FESEO for 25-26 school year and it needed to be FTCPEP. I have properly processed the scholarship switch request form through StepUp. However, there is no further detail on when this will get fixed, but it appears that several new applicants are being awarded PEP in the meantime. I thought that applications and switches are processed in order received, so this is very frustrating for me. I processed the switch form on 2/3/2025. It wouldn't bother me if there wasn't a cap on PEP, but since there is - I'd like to see that my request is actually being honored and handled in the order it was received. Does anyone have any information on how the switch requests are handled internally at StepUp? Are they only processing new and renewal applications right now and not even looking at the switch request forms? I get no where talking to people on stepup chat or the phone. They just tell me to "check my email". It's frustrating. :-(

Sorry for your frustration. We understand that would be troubling.
We aren't really customer service for the scholarship funding organizations, and there isn't anything in statute that dictates their timeline for processing switches due to mistaken applications.
You will need to follow the customer service process with Step Up to get your application corrected. Just be sure you've submitted a formal support ticket. Beyond that, it just might take time for them to get to it and process it.
