According to the FL DOE, these are the approved tests. It says that tests cannot be taken at home. What about PEP students who are homeschooling? Will that have to take a test at a local school? Or is the website just not updated yet? Does anyone have knowledge about if homeschoolers can choose a test, such as the Iowa test, and still take it from home?
*All approved assessments must be administered and proctored at school facilities. Remote/at-home administrations are not permitted.
We have a big update on this question! I've posted it in our FAQ here: https://www.flhef.org/forum/pep-faq/how-do-the-standardized-tests-for-pep-work
I've updated some of our FAQs here recently, but the short answer is: We don't have all these answers yet. Some of the logistics of how the tests will work for PEP students are still being figured out. Brenda is actively working to help get all these details figured out. (She and I were just on a joint call with Step Up a week or so ago, discussing various feedback and concerns from parents, and this was one of them!) As of right now, though, we just don't have the definitive answers yet, because things are still being worked out. We'll keep everyone updated as we know more!
