Hi, everyone! If you watched today's Livestream, you know the context for this. But if not...
We are aware of the issue of parents' reimbursements and/or MyScholarShop purchases being dropped into unexpected (and sometimes seemingly nonsensical) categories. Obviously, this is a major issue when certain categories already have limited spending caps, which are now being eaten up by purchases that don't actually belong in those categories.
We are communicating this issue to Step Up, but I would like to have some SPECIFIC examples to refer back to as evidence that this is happening widespread, to many families, and is not an isolated issue.
So... If you are one of those cases, please drop a comment below and tell me:
Whether it was a submitted reimbursement or an MSS purchase
What your purchase was, and the category you believed it SHOULD have fit in (with the reasoning for why, if it's a complicated one)
What category it was ACTUALLY put in.
Having this info will help me better communicate the scope of the problem to Step Up.
Thank you!
We had outdoor play equipment, and kiwico boxes all put under learning manipulative, and reading books ( The chronicles of Narnia)put under classroom supplies,From what it looks like is they are using categories from the vendor instead of coding correctly. If they are so overwhelmed they need to let the parent put in the categories and do spot audits until they develop a solid system( yes some people with code items blatantly wrong, but there can be a strike rule with either funding being held or for repeat offenders being kicked from the scholarship). They could also put out a volunteer system where a some of us parents could go through all the items and categories( any question items could be turned over to step up to put in the correct category)each one it will take a while but many of us are would be willing to do this in a effort to help.
