Update to this as of August 22, 2023:
We have confirmed with Step Up that everything in the current Purchasing Guide (as of the time of this post) will be reimbursable (including general supplies, which they have interpreted as a subcategory of the "Instructional Materials" category from statute).
Be aware, though, that the Purchasing Guide is not going to be finalized until December 2023, so things in the Purchasing Guide can still change!
For now, though, they are honoring what's in the current Purchasing Guide for reimbursements between now and when the guide is updated.
(You can also provide feedback to Step Up if there's something you'd like to see added to the guide!)
For a downloadable version of the Purchasing Guide, more information on what's covered by PEP funds, and a link to that above-mentioned Purchasing Guide Feedback Form for Step Up, see our detailed "What can PEP funds be used for?" post here in the forum!
If you buy "curriculum" from a private school, does that still qualify for PEP funds?
