1-Can the PEP be used to pay for a dual enrollment class at a private college? Example: Spanish 1 class at Pensacola Christian College
Page 9-10 of the purchasing guide states:
" An independent college or university that is eligible to participate in the William L Boyd, IV Effective Access to Student Education Grant Program under s. 1009.89
An accredited independent postsecondary educational institution, as defined in s. 1005.02, which is licensed to operate in the state of Florida"
2-If we terminate our home education in August and our yearly evaluation isn't due until September, are we still required to submit a yearly evaluation?
Dual enrollment is still available to PEP students, but you will not need to pay for it with PEP funds. Dual enrollment benefits are provided to home education & PEP students (by statute) through a different scholarship program. You can find a lot more info on this in the PEP FAQs section of our forum! https://www.flhef.org/forum/pep-faq You are required to submit an annual evaluation at termination (within 30 days of the termination) if you haven't already submitted one for the year. This is in statute 1002.41(1)(c), which you can find here: http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&URL=1000-1099/1002/Sections/1002.41.html.
