HEF has created this section of the forum to help home educating parents connect with qualified home education evalutors to ask questions, schedule evals, and more.
However, while we are maintaining a list here on HEF of members who have said that they're qualified to be home education evaluators (identified by the "Evaluator" badge along with a badge indicating the county where that evaluator is located), HEF does not endorse any particular evaluator.
According to Florida statute 1002.41, a qualified home education evaluator must "hold a valid regular Florida certificate to teach academic subjects at the elementary or secondary level."
It is the parents' responsibillity to ensure that their chosen evaluator meets those qualifications, and that the certificate of the teacher is still in effect.
(NOTE: Evaluations do not apply to PEP students, only home education students under the above statute. PEP requires standardized testing annually.)
