Hello. I’m looking for feedback regarding academic placement testing at Co-ops. We are thinking of doing this and charging a fee. This fee would be listed on our tuition breakdown, which is publicly available. I see that test fees are covered under private schools. It is not specifically specified as being covered under the home educational instructional programs information. I just want to be sure our parents would be to be reimbursed for it. I appreciate any feedback you all can provide me.

I'm going to give my best guess here... but you may want to reach out to Step Up to clarify! It would likely depend on whether the instructors who are offering those placement tests meet the criteria as either Choice Navigators or test proctors for the particular tests you're using. You could possibly get it approved as a service that's part of your regular tuition/fees, especially if you're a direct-pay provider, but if you list it separately just as a testing fee and parents are submitting reimbursements, you may run into issues with the processors asking for tutoring/teaching credentials for test proctoring/test administration fees.
